The Founding Steps
Our founder, late Shri B.N. Kala, began trading loose gemstones across the southern districts of India, laying the foundation for our multi-generational heritage.
1976
A Home in Jaipur
Opened our dedicated gemstone manufacturing unit in Jaipur, establishing our permanent base in the world's premier colored gemstone hub.
1986
Kala Gems Group
Formally incorporated as Kala Gems Group with a singular mission: distributing world-class cut gemstones to international markets.
1992
State Export Recognition
Honored with the Rajasthan State Export Award from the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India.
1993
National Export Excellence
Received the prestigious National Export Award from the GJEPC in recognition of outstanding international trade performance.
1994
Hosting the ICA
Proudly hosted the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) delegation in Jaipur, strengthening high-level global trade relationships.

Expansion into Thailand
Established strategic partnerships with Lotus International Thai Incorporated in Bangkok and received further State & Annual Export Awards.

Sustained Export Excellence

Reaching Hong Kong
Partnered with KGE Rough and Gems HK in Hung Hom, creating a direct gateway to serve major East Asian jewelry houses.

Reaching China
Partnered with Colorful Stones China at Guangzhou's Liwan Plaza, establishing a robust supply network in mainland China.

Reaching Europe
Founded KGE Gems Italia S.r.l. in Vicenza, establishing our European headquarters to directly serve leading continental jewellers.

Expanding in Europe
Expanded our European operations by opening a commercial office in Milan city centre, cementing our presence in Italy's fashion and luxury capital.
